What Is Being Cuckold Mean?
Being cuckold refers to when a man’s wife has an affair with another man and bears the other man’s child. The husband either does not know this or feels the shame upon the child’s birth when he realizes it is not his child.
The origin is from the cuckoo bird, which will often lay its eggs in another bird’s nest. The reason the cuckoo does this is to trick the other bird into thinking the cuckoo’s offspring is its own and therefore takes care of the kids, freeing the cuckoo from its responsibilities.
